What is the Virtual Language Camp, ViLaCa?
It is an online virtual language camp. The topics presented are for the reinforcement of the language through the general culture introduced of each country. This camp was not designed to learn a language in terms of its grammatical structure or phonemes.
This edition is in Spanish and presents topics from Hispanic America to fully complete the immersion into the culture and the language.
Why is it different?
#Vilaca is an educational program that complements the local school and / or the bilingual or dual immersion school in the USA. For the latter schools, this option allows the use of the language studied in school in combination with the presentation of interesting and appropriate content.
Who is it for?
Although the program is open to children 4-12 years old, divided into 2 different groups: 4-6 and 7-12 years old, it is aimed primarily at children of Hispanic origin or an intermediate level of Spanish.

At what time and
what topics will they learn?
Topics that teach about the well-known and not-so-known wonders of Hispanic-American cultures are introduced to reinforce the Spanish of children in a different and fun way. Sessions are offered Monday through Thursday focusing on four main general topics, which are:
Monday
We present to children a variety of foods that include fruits, vegetables, desserts or typical dishes from one of the 21 countries that speak Spanish so they can learn to make fun and simple recipes.
Tuesday
They will learn about the wonderful animals of the land, sea, and air that are found in our Spanish-speaking countries.
Wednesday
They will learn about the wonderful animals of land, sea and air found in our Spanish-speaking countries.
Thursdays
Our young campers will learn the different ways to play, how to make the games and they will even be able to play in class. They will also learn different stories or poems, their characters and be able to create new stories in class. The different carnivals or festivals that are celebrated in Latin America will also be introduced on this day.
Native Spanish speaking teachers are extremely motivated to teach the material presented and open to listen to any doubts kids may have all the while interacting with them creating a positive atmosphere during the sessions.
And, there is no homeworks outside camp because our sessions are to be thoroughly enjoyed during the time children are connected!
We are very happy to be able to have fun and learn together. We are waiting for you in our next session. Don’t lose connection!
