The Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) provides funding for afterschool and summer school enrichment programs for kindergarten and Cultural Bytes’ After School Language Academy goes above and beyond to be a qualified participant in the ELOP.
El Monte’s Parkview Elementary School welcomed California State Treasurer Fiona Ma on January 11, 2024, so she could see the Mandarin Language Academy in action. Señora Jackie, also known as Jackie Amaya-Garcia, Program Director, was among the people she addressed, along with students and instructors. Schools were visited by the state treasurer to verify the use of Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) funds. This curriculum is justified by the Cultural Bytes Language academies.
